First Down Imaging is a privately owned, Tampa-based consultancy firm geared toward helping professional athletes enhance their public image through media training.

FDI was launched in 2007 by former award-winning sports journalist Roger Mills, whose career spanned 15 years and involved the coverage of the NFL, Major League Baseball, the NBA and the NHL. FDI's clients have included the Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic.

Mills has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of South Florida, holds a Masters Degree in Mass Communications from that institute, and is a Language Arts teacher for the School District of Hillsborough County.

FDI's primary goal is to provide training - in the form of workshops, seminars and similar cooperative learning strategies - to empower athletes with the skills needed to create and maintain positive images. FDI's clients take control of their media image, rather than have the media control theirs for them.
